This is my story…
“I chose real estate as a career because I love working with people, especially seniors, building strong relationships, and helping clients navigate the legal and emotional maze they often face when buying or selling their home.“
A Guiding Hand
Like so many of the helping professions, I think real estate is a calling. On the outside it’s all about bricks and mortar and money, but at its heart, buying, selling (and even retrofitting) a home is about understanding the unique needs, goals, hopes and fears of every client, so the outcome is the best it can be.
I’m delighted with what I’m doing—helping people make some of the most important decisions of their lives.
As a real estate agent, I do a lot of listening and learning—and then I help my clients understand all the legal, financial and emotional implications of various options so they can make informed choices. Together, we develop a well thought out strategy for accomplishing their goals.
Life takes us in many different directions, and mine is no exception. I grew up in Dundas, left when I was 19 to attend university, and enjoyed a fulfilling career, first with Toronto Police Services and later as a teacher and then as a real estate appraiser in Canada and the U.S. When I turned 45, I returned to the Hamilton area. I have a true passion for working with seniors and have volunteered in some capacity with older people my whole life.
I’ve earned my Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) and Accredited Senior Agent (ASA) designations to ensure I have the tools and training to counsel clients aged 55-plus through the major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in selling the family home, relocating, or adapting their current home to meet changing needs.
Peace of Mind
I love finding solutions to challenges, answers to questions, and opportunities in unexpected places. I’m a resource person, often on topics that seem to have little to do with real estate. And since it’s impossible for one person to do everything well, I have a network of exceptional specialists—including financial advisors, tax experts, mortgage brokers, legal advisors, trusted contractors and downsizing and moving consultants—that I can call on to provide professional advice. If I don’t know the answer, I’ll find it.
As we age, we expect specialists in our healthcare, so why not with our housing needs as well?
Looking Forward to Helping You
When I look back on my life, I see a pattern—I’m always moving the best interests of others forward. Real estate is no different—and I’d be honoured to take up that role for you.
Downsizing by Choice
